From humble beginnings in the family kitchen where the recipe was first conceptualised with love and family health as the primary drivers, we have come a long way to conquering the world as an international success story. Our business has been built on the core principles and values of commitment to 100% all natural, fresh, local produce home grown in Queensland, Australia.
Established in 2003 by Bruce and Kaye Mathewson and their sons Paul and Grant, this family owned business has grown to a global presence. Queensland Yoghurt today, supplies products to distributors across Australia, including major international airlines and national food plan providers. We have also taken Queensland Yoghurt internationally, including New Zealand, sold under the Piako brand and the United States of America, sold under the Noosa brand.

Our commitment to local culture is very important to us. Being a family-owned company Queensland Yoghurt Company works with a network of local family owned distributors across Australia to provide local culture to their individual communities. Being locals supplying locals, means the product is always fresh with a strong commitment to quality and service. Whilst the same base recipe is used, the flavours may differ depending upon availability of local produce, which further enhances the local culture aspect of our business.
Queensland Yoghurt Company and its distributors proudly provides employment for over 170 people nation-wide. Of these, 130 are licensees who are accountable for the final mixing and packaging of the product as well as securing stockists in their distribution areas. We produce and sell around 2000 tonnes of yoghurt each year.
