Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Queensland Yoghurt different?

We make our yoghurt in small artisan batches, from milk supplied from the one farm and honey from the one supplier. Some say it is the flavour, some the velvety mouth feel, either way, it is the combination that makes Queensland Yoghurt what it is.

Where is our fruit sourced?

It would be a shame to mix Queensland Yoghurt with a less superior fruit product. This is why Queensland Yoghurt only uses real fruit – not pasteurised or with added sugar. All the fruit is sourced from Australian suppliers and when possible from local suppliers for specific flavours; i.e. Dragonfruit in Cairns.

What are the benefits of Queensland Yoghurt?

Queensland Yoghurt is made with milk from happy cows from the one farm on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. All of these cows are grass fed (No wonder they are happy). Queensland Yoghurt is a great source of calcium and protein, and contains live, active cultures, and probiotics (often called good bacteria). Probiotics are living organisms that help maintain balance in your digestive tract, boost your immune system and replenish the other good bacteria in your body.

Is Queensland Yoghurt Gluten Free?

Yes, Queensland Yoghurt is Gluten Free

Where does most of the sugar in Queensland Yoghurt come from? Is it added sugar?

The sugar in Queensland Yoghurt comes from a variety of sources including milk. Lactose, the natural sugar in milk, makes up about 50% and the remainder is from fruit, honey and cane sugar.

What is Probiotic?

Probiotic means that the cultures are living in the yoghurt. Probiotic yoghurts are the best yoghurt in that they provide the digestive support from the cultures within. A good way to identify this is by noticing whey (liquid type substance) on top of yoghurt after it has been sitting for a while.
